The brief

Creating a new reason to experience Quob Park

Quob Park came to us after experiencing our work at Homefield Grange. With an established hospitality, wellness and wine offer already in place, the ambition was to create a spa experience that reflected the same focus on quality.

Working with existing spaces, the challenge was to establish how they could be reimagined as a cohesive day spa, creating an experience that would appeal to hotel guests and day visitors while adding greater value to Quob Park’s existing wellness membership.

Increasing membership and generating additional spa revenue were important parts of the brief. The new offer needed to encourage guests to spend more time at Quob Park, create opportunities for spa days and treatments, and give wellness members access to additional experiences at preferential rates.

Our role began with the concept and commercial planning, considering how the available space could work harder while still creating an intimate, relaxed spa experience worthy of the wider Quob Park offer.

What we did

Designing the complete spa journey

We approached Rose Spa as a connected guest journey rather than a collection of individual facilities, considering how guests would arrive, move between experiences, spend time together and find quieter moments to themselves.

Heat, cold and recovery became central to that journey. An infrared therapy bench, barrel sauna, experience shower, ice chute and wine barrel-styled cold plunges create opportunities to move between contrasting temperatures, while heated waterbeds and dedicated relaxation areas encourage guests to slow down between experiences.

Treatment rooms were planned around the needs of both guest and therapist, balancing atmosphere with the practical requirements of delivering treatments throughout the day.

A snug introduces a more enclosed place to retreat, adding another layer to the experience and allowing guests to choose how and where they relax.

The Spa Garden

Taking the experience outside

The Spa Garden was conceived as an extension of the interior, bringing the thermal journey into the landscape and giving guests a stronger connection with nature.

Cold plunge barrels and the barrel sauna create a simple, elemental contrast of hot and cold in the open air, while the hot tub offers a place to slow down and take in the surroundings. A reflexology path and relaxation pod add further opportunities to pause, reset and spend time outside.

Together, the experiences make the garden an integral part of the spa journey, using fresh air, changing temperatures and the natural setting to create a more restorative connection between wellness and the outdoors.

A distinctly Quob experience

Bringing brand, place and experience together

We looked for opportunities to make Rose Spa feel unmistakably part of Quob Park, carrying its connection with wine and the surrounding landscape into both the design and the guest experience.

For the spa garden, we created a bespoke vine illustration that was translated into laser-cut Corten steel panels for the entrance gates. The artwork was then carried through into the spa signage, creating a consistent visual thread from arrival through to the garden.

An outdoor bar added another dimension, creating a relaxed setting for Quob Park’s own wines and wine tastings within the spa garden.

These details connect wellness with the wider Quob Park experience, bringing together bespoke illustration, environmental graphics, architectural detailing and hospitality to create something that feels particular to the destination.

The outcome

A broader wellness offer for Quob Park

Rose Spa transformed existing spaces into a dedicated spa experience with a clear role within the wider Quob Park business.

For hotel guests, it created somewhere to relax and unwind as part of their stay. For day visitors, it introduced another reason to visit Quob Park. For wellness members, it broadened the existing offer through access to spa days and treatments at preferential rates.

By considering the commercial model alongside the guest experience, the project created new opportunities around membership, treatments and spa days while establishing an experience that feels connected to Quob Park, its landscape and the wider destination.
